very basic potatoe question
« on: March 15, 2007, 08:50:11 »
last year I chitted my spuds no problem although the results were disappointing which I put down to the drought - after watching the gardeners world trial last year I decided not to chit them this year so kept them in their box and put them out of light in the under the stairs cupboard where there's no heating - but they've all sprouted! long white floppy sprouts that look a bit anemic.

should I rub these off and chit them like normal or should I just put them in as they are when the time comes?

Yes on the first two accounts and if you don't have time yes on the third account.
