Sorry to hear of your loss. I have learnt a great many things from her postings, including a love of straw in the garden.

Thanks for the link to the donation site.

Dom.

Very sad news. I've only just starting reading this thread as I've been out and about for the last few days. Although I never met Sarah, I've felt her generosity from reading  her posts on this forum - which were always full of great advice and very witty too - and through the seed swaps we have done.
I am not exaggerating when I say that about one third of the packets in my seed box have come from Supersprout and, like many others, I will remember her when I sow my lettuces, beetroot, Chicories and especially squashes!

My deepest sympathy to you, Will, and all who knew your mum.

I would just like to add my own sympathies to Will, for his very sad loss.

I am only an occasional poster on A4A, but I am also an Admin on the GWD board where we were also fortunate enough to have Sarah as a member. It is clear from Sarah's posts that she was a very knowledgable and much loved person, who will be very sadly missed.

Dear Will,

I'm sorry I didn't see this message until today. Supersprout and I met up at Baytree - I hope you liked that cake tin she bought. I forgot to give her the seeds of Cherokee Trail of Tears which she wanted to grow.

If it is at all possible, I hope to make it to the funeral.

My thoughts are with you.

Hi Will,  like the rest of the A4A crew I am very saddened by the news she was indeed an inspiration to us all.

I received this private e-mail  from her just recently and it meant a lot to me.

Although it mentions me I am sure she thought the same of the others in the A4A  gang going by the replies she made to both the experienced and inexperienced among us.

Hello Tee Gee, is it my imagination, or had you been away until recently? Whether or no, just wanted to say that it's been good to see more of you in A4a recently. I really value your advice, your website is superb, and I get a lot of confidence from reading your posts and comments. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Best wishes
Sarah aka supersprout

For you Sarah or as I preferred to know you 'Supersprout' you were a 'super' lady; http://tinyurl.com/2vd28g r.i.p.

last night i could not sleep and was looking though some recorded tv to see if there was anything i might want to watch and i found the last episode of grow your own with SS and i started crying again.

But it makes me think that they may have more footage which i am sure will would treasure.

Will, my thoughts are with you at this time.
Your mum brought so much happiness to the people she came in contact with. A genuinely nice, down-to-earth sort of a person.
Hope to post a letter to you soon.
Jenny.

Just to add my condolences. I've been logging on as a guest for some months now and always looked forward to reading Supersprout's contributions. Obviously a lovely lady.... Well, the least I can do is stop lurking in the hedgerows!

I never knew you, Supersprout, but already I miss you.

Will,

I had no idea that Supersprout was ill, so this has come as a huge shock.

Your Mum was a fabulous lady, full of humour and kindness.

She will be greatly missed but will no doubt live on in gardens and

memories everywhere.

Thinking of you and your family,

With love,

Debs x

Only just found this thread and had no idea that Sarah was ill. She was the first person to reply to my first post on here. I was advised to join this forum by someone on Poultrykeeper and have been a daily visitor ever since and always look forward to her posts. I am so sorry for your loss Will. She came accross as a special person so I am sure she was a very special mom.

I watched the 'grow your own veg' that she was in on tv especially to see her.

I'm so very sorry to hear this sad, sad news.

I never met Sarah but have always loved her posts. She made me feel very welcome when I joined A4A and gave me advice on no-dig method and so on. Also we had a seed swap once and she gave me loads of squash seeds. Really sad to think that she couldn't plant the seeds I sent her.

She was a warm, kind and generous lady with a great sense of humour. I miss her so much, this place won't be same without her.

Thinking of you at this difficult time,

Hiromi aka Tora

Will I am grieving for your Mum.  I really can't make sense of it. We have to find ways to stop cancer.
