A few spring bulbs
« on: February 24, 2007, 14:52:45 »
Took these snaps this morning.  They cheer me up everytime I look out the window.   :)  G x

Tete a tete - ideal for pots

H. Niger.  Very late and especially for Tim to prove that things don't always go right here either.  Something has been nibbling the flowers whilst they were in bud.  I suspect caterpillars.

Muscari Golden Fragrance.  These are very early.

This summer snowflake is very early too.  Sorry about the focus, it's rather breezey here today.

These Primroses have been in constant bloom for months!

Gives you an idea of the number of pots of spring bulbs on the patio.

Lovely pics G. My Tete a Tete are just flowering too, but something is nibbling the flowers again, same as last year. Same with snowdrops too.
I love those Irises Ace, will have to get some for next year.
Smile, it confuses people.

Thanks Maggie.  I bet it's the tiny green caterpillars that are eating your flowers; they got my snowdrops too.   >:(

Yep, loads of raised beds and new blockwork walls plus anything that stands still for too long. I will post some on another thread if you want to see some. Otherwise I will highjack Georgies thread.

Those are lovely G.

I've got one crocus out. One iris and one tete a tete! What is going on? Are they on scout duty or something ?!

Thanks Heldi.  Well, you will live in the frozen north!   ;D  At lest you still have them all to look forward to.  I've got hyacinths in bud which is simply ridiculous!

Eek! I've got a hyacinth in flower in the front garden. Mad.

I hope I do get a huge flush of bulbs all at once. That would certainly be cheerful!
