Farming Today this morning, Miriam O’Reilly discovers that the rain is seriously delaying potato planting in Britain. Around half of planting still has to be done, which means a shorter growing season and potential price increases in the shops.
So I am going to take extra care of my spuds this year - might even water them (if the rain ever stops!)
