I have just bought 25 canes of 'zeva' raspberries. I have totally no idea about growing fruit. Have I made a good choice? I believe from googling they are an autumn fruiting variety. That means I should prune them down to just about ground level once a year? I am planning to plan them on my plot but will dig in some manure first. Anyone had any experience with this variety?

Don't know that particular variety but yes you are right about the pruning..
manure is good too and I always give mine a sprinkle
of blood fish and bone late winter :)

I grew Autumn Bliss for the last few years & they were brilliant, loads of fruit almost up to Christmas but they were trying to take over the world so I pulled them all out - they were everywhere] & have just bought 5 Joan canes - I am hoping they will be better behaved.
