sun, anyone
« on: February 03, 2007, 17:51:31 »
anyone seen the sun, it seems to have gone missing
we were promised a beautiful sunny day, all we got was freezing fog !
we went to the plot for 6 hours and came back frozen through, I'm just starting to defrost, apart from my toes..
so, if you find it, could you send it back please,  ;D

I've had it! We';ve had a full day of unbroken sunshine.

Sadly only three hours of it were spent digging due to clarinet/dance lessons, Liverpool v Everton and  the golf course  ::). Darn family.

Gorgeous here too in Surrey. I was at the supermarket by half 7 and the morning was all crisp and frosty.

Sunny all day long... packed my two off to a birthday party for a couple of hours, OH is at Twickenham for the rugby, so I got extra digging time!!

.....ooooh it doesn't take much to make me happy  ;D  ;)

Glorious day here in north London.  Spent three hours in the garden pruning, mulching, turning compost and generally tidying up.   Felt great to be out there but my back is complaining now.   ;D

Yup, lovely sun here in South London today. :) Basked in it while standing out at a craft fair. Tomorrow is an allotment day, can't wait! Planting some primroses and chopping bramble while pondering this week's plan for digging of both plain ground and upping bramble roots.

Tina.

its been fabulous here for the last 2 days - but I've been too poorly to leave the house.  OH went to check on sweetpeas for me and said although it was really hot, there was still frost on the ground and the pond was totally frozen.

Had frost this morning then picked up as the day progressed. Only got 3hrs at the plot. 3yr old had enough and wanted to go home.

Got some beds dug. - Couchgrass roots turned upside down and covered with cardboard. Hopefully the spring will allow me to remove the couchgrass roots when I need to dig the bed for sowing..... Also got new steel shelving unit erected in my shed. (new to me - work was throwing it in the skip).

Same here KT but mine was a Two year old, only intrested in my rotavator which he calls a tractor, then he noticed the park across the road from the allotment I had no chance to do a thing then, never realised it was so hard to push a bloody swing.
