Hey,

I'm selling my greenhouse as I'm moving and I'm going to rented accomadation where I can't put a greenhouse up.

My dad bought me this about 3 months ago but i never ended up putting it up as i couldnt get the ground to be level.

it's new, all i've done is construct the frames for the 2 sides and the back....which can be easily dismantled for transportation. all the glass is still in it's original packaging...and all the screws and what not are still with it.

I paid about £350 once everything arrived home. and as most of it hasn't even been un packed yet, it's practically brand new. so I'm hoping to go no lower that £200.

Sorry wahaj, but I think you are way OTT expecting £200 for a second hand greenhouse.  We have had an 8' x 6' for sale at £50, and have had no takers.  It has been on the market for well over 12 months.

Well....as I said....it's not really second hand. considering most of it still hasn't even been taken out of it's original packing. the only thing I've done is screw together the 2 sides and the back....the rest is still packed away like it was when I bought it.

And I've already had 6-7 people interested in it on this forum, and about 10 others on a couple of other forums I go to.

about 3 people have already accepted that price and the unless I have any more people come through that are interested, I will let it go for £200 in the next couple of weeks.

Shame yours didn't sell.

Just to add to what Wahaj said.  I too think that an "as new" greenhouse is worth a lot more than one that's been constructed.  Many secondhand greenhouses are sold on the basis that "buyer dismantles", which adds significantly to the workload, and the probability (certainty  ;D ) of breaking some of the glass.  And assembling them again is a fiddle, because they're no longer quite straight!

Sorry, but second hand is second hand.  Once a new car has gone off the forecourt is is grossly devalued.  The same with greenhouses.  It doesn't matter what the condition is, it's second hand.

We have not found any takers for our 8' x 6' greenhouse at £50.  It is dismantled, the only requisite for the purchaser is to collect.

Also with freecycle, you can most probably get one for nothing.

£50 I've just spent £111 on new poly twinwall as the winds broke all my glass, at £50 quid its a steal.

Hi Hot House,

We are in Alton (as in Towers) North Staffs.

When we got it we carted it c. 30 miles in a Ford Escort, admittedly with the sun roof open to accomodate the 8' pieces, so it's not necessary to hire a vehicle to transport it.

Could even throw in tickets to the idiots funfair!!
