Going to Devon
« on: January 09, 2007, 16:19:53 »
Hi I am going away for a week to Devon for a short break to a cottage.  Does anyone know of any interesting nursery or garden centres worth looking out for?? ??? ??? :-\ :-\

Hi BB, when and whereabouts in Devon?  The in-laws live in Devon so I may be able to get some info from them if there's enough time.

Hi it is just at the back of Exeter Race Course

It belongs to the Fire Service Benevolent and they offer them out to ex fire service personnel.  Have been before but not his early in the year.

What about Buckland Monocorum (sp)? We went 3 years ago. It was summer & I don't know whether it's a winter garden but a visit to their site would tell you. We would def go again.

Otter Nurseries near Ottery St.Mary is a good day out. It's very large and has something for everybody.

The RHS Rosehill garden is in Devon. We went this summer and it's definitely worth a visit. It also has a garden centre. Hope you have a good time.
