awful morning at plot today
« on: December 23, 2006, 18:04:56 »
due to a lottie holder having a heart attack when lifting manure off a trailer.

our allotments are in the city and the ambulance station not far away, but the ambulance had to come from 15/20 miles away,(in Market  Rasen, the allotment is in Lincoln) as no others where free :o, the traffic was terrible because it's Xmas

lottie holders where trying to revive him, until help came, but when it did come they couldn't revive him and it was soooooooo cold.

They took him to hospital so we don't know if he is OK, but its not looking good :'( a terrible start to someones Christmas/shades x

We got our delivery without any mishaps.... why do they insist on cutting back on such services to improve on "efficiency" I hope when I go I'm out on the Lottie!

In the '40s when my Parents had a staff, their wonderful Gardener died amongst his cabbages.

Personally if I do pass on then I would like to pass on either on the allotment or doing what I love best gardening.

I hope the Gentleman in question is ok.
