prevent water freezing
« on: December 06, 2006, 22:18:17 »
I had put this in wrong section. :-[

If you put a ping pong ball or kiddies plastic ball from their play tent into the water container it helps prevent freezing. As the ball is moving on the surface with the breeze or night air -  the water does not have time to freeze. Works 90% of the time. This is excellent if you need the water for livestock.  :D

If you part fill with water & drill the right size hole in the larger plastic balls & plug them with a rubber grommet, you can put them in the microwawve for 15 secs.
Pop 'em in the pond. Helps.
