It shows that Winter is upon us. For the last few mornings our garden has been heaving with the feathereds. Blackbirds, sparrows, blue tits, starlings yellowhammer, woodpecker, thrush, fieldfares, crows, magpies, sparrowhawk, long tailed tits, chaffinch, robin, coal tits, wrens ,dunnock to name but a few. There are other little brown blobs which could be anything. The fat-balls and the peanuts and the sunflower seeds are disappearing fast. The bantams do not know which feeding station to stand under to wait for crumbs.
It adds a whole different dimension to the garden, movement. BUT where do they all go to just after lunch? By about 1 o clockish they have almost all gone.Very odd. Siesta? I might join them.
