Manure Sawdust/Straw/Or none
« on: December 01, 2006, 17:01:18 »
I'm just about to get some manure and I'm unsure which one is the best to go for?
Either some with straw some with sawdust or some with just pure poop!!!
I'm guessing the sawdust will take the longest to rot down.

My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in. Bill Shankly.

depends really...you might get away with it if the manure's dry......but if it's really soggy due to sitting around in rain for the past few weeks then it can water log the soil. that's what mine is doing in some areas.

the straw will rot down and add a bit more structure to the soil.

i may be wrong.....but that's how it's worked for me so far :)
