Thanks for the lovely messages everyone!  As my birthday is a midweeker, Mark and I decided to take Friday off so we can go out and about all day and have a lovely lunch together.  Today however, I received a lovely silver necklace with matching earings from the sprogs, and a new braun hand whizzer thingy - which I asked for as I broke my other one and boy did I miss it - so I am chuffed to bits!  I worked today in a lovely garden, no leaves to sweep, just lots of lovely shrubs to prune back and reshape, then home, collected the urchins and had a lovely long bath before the old boy arrived home and we had home made chicken soup for supper full of lovely allotment veggies.
