verbena bonar-whatsit
« on: April 20, 2004, 09:18:46 »
(I can never remember it's proper name!)

Anyway - my Verbena B seems to have stopped growing. It germinated and hasn't developed much beyond the seed leaf stage. It's on my living room window sill which is fairly warm (but not hot) and sunny throughout most of the day and is kept moist, but not too moist.

Help! :'(
gone to pot :D

Perhaps it is too warm.  Mine stays outside all year in a bed by the house wall and has even set seed in the lawn.  It isn't fully hardy though as the one I had in a colder part of the garden died.  To be safe, I'd put half outside and leave half indoors.

Thanks Gillian - I shall try that. Yippee - that gives me more room indoors, that'll soon be taken over by something else!

I know what you mean - I'm getting complaints all the time now about there being so much stuff on the windowsills that we can't even pull down the blinds.  Supposed to be getting warmer towards the end of this week so nearly to time to get everything outside.  Roll on Summer !
