I hope someone can help.
I am looking to get into website building and have already made a start with a simple webpage using MS Word.
This is fine, however i am having real problems with uploading it onto the 'net. I wanted to use my ISP's free webspace to start with at least. However my ISP is AOL who make it very dificult to upload all the information required to create a workable site. The problem is either their FTP software or I am doing something wrong (but cannot find out which as the online help is useless). i find I can upload parts of the webpage but not all and what does upload does not work when i try the link.
The other option is to use AOL's website 'wizard' but this is very restrictive and 'nanny-ish'. I would prefer to create my own pages and upload them.
Does anyone have experience of this feature of AOL and can offer any advice or alternatively reccomend an alternative (free) method
