For heavens sake Tim, as it I wasn't feeling depressed enough!!

Stored the tomato squisher machine away this morning, having squished the last of the red crop last weekend!!

The odd courgette in the garden, and quite a lot of chillies are about the only crops, until the leeks/PSB kick in.

Ah well 21st December is the winter solstice, and 21st March is the Spring equinox.

SAD, SAD, or what??

Humph we ran out earlier this week - still got a dozen or so peppers left ripening and this little lot picked today to be cooked with.

I evicted mine a couple of weeks ago-but still have toms and peppers outdoors-the indoor lettuces are getting very confused.

Hello, I'm new.

I just wanted to say your tomatoes look fantastic! I made the mistake of leaving mine too long on the vine and the last lot was destroyed  :'(

I'm at sea-level - and still waiting for the last 2 jumbo sweet peppers to finish turning red so that I can clear the GH ready for overwintering pelargoniums and fuchsias.

I have a tom plant in the greenhouse which is in full flower and has some baby fruits.  It is a cherry variety.  Hoping to have toms for Christmas.  ;D

Well- I did it! Have just picked my last red jumbo pepper ;D. It's maybe not quite as bright a red as the earlier ones, but I'm well pleased :).

Just wish I could upload piccies from my Kodak camera - there seems to be an unsolvable problem with the Kodak Easyshare programme on my PC. Emails have been going back and forth to Kodak but they seem unable to understand plain English and I've just about lost patience ::).
