Teresa's unusual wildlife !

Went to a county fair and the frontier people were there, excuse the skins but the dog fascinated me.
Was breed by the Sioux Indians (women) a very intelligent dog and they would cross them with wild wolves.
I should have written down what the chap said but this is now a rare breed and not many in the world and limited numbers for breeding. But I have forgotten the name of the breed.
Has anyone out there seen on knows of them

Hi Teresa, looks kinda like a huskey dog to me....a sledge puller and all round tough hound. I guess it's that wolf breeding in them. Handsome beast for sure - I bet that would keep Jethro's night time visitors away from his plot!

Wish I had taken a photo of the dog looking at us you could see the eyes of the wolf.
He was saying if the telephone rings or the door bell the dog goes and finds them in the garden. No barking like most dogs and when dinner is ready he tells the dog and he goes and gets her for dinner.
Yep your right would keep vandles away from the lottie just the look in his eyes.

A friend of mine had a dog with similar characteristics - not American Indian though, it was an Alamut(?) - Alaskan/Siberian I think - same amazing pale eyes - got some size though!

Good idea, teresa plenty of dog potty people here, as I am sure some of you may have noticed, i am definaltly one of them, but just to remind everyone heres's minnie (again)
she is 1/2 staffy 1/2 whippit cross, 2 years old , we got her from bath cats and dogs home 18mths ago she was a stray, left behind after glastonbury festival, but we have since been told (by a builder who recons he bought one of her brothers in a pub as a pup) that she was from a litter of 8 pups belonging to some travellers who were in Bath before that. she is very lovely little dog and has never been a problem.

Dear Teresa,
We have three dogs, Valda is a guide dog who belongs to my wife, and is a black labrador, Lucy belongs to my son David, and is a white and tan Jack Russell, who comes from a traveller, and Charlie, a black and white Jack Russell, who came to us from a rescue centre, who is my dog. Chaarlie is a real handful and goes mad when he is let out, running all over the place. I don't know where he gets his energy from. You should hear them when anybody comes anywhere near the house. They raise the roof! Yours, John Verney.

Minerva,
Minnie is lovely you can see the love in those eyes.
John,
Welcome to the mad house, Oh yes jack russells real personaties I inhearited mums two dogs the mum is that mexican dog ch. crossed JR and put is her crossed JR again a bird cannot fly past and they are off barking then want a treat.
The dogs for the blind always amase me labs chew everything for 18 months tearaways then end up this wonderfull dog with the look it cannot do anything wrong.
I had a lab years ago nearly had a breakdown with it everytime I told her off she would chew something else belonging to me.
But so easy to train I found her a good home and the chap was so pleased with her she was a perfect miss and never did anything wrong.
My last dogs were a pair of westies he was 15 and she was 16 when they died although two years ago I still cannot look at there photos without crying I miss my babies.
