Have just lost my HP Photo Manager for editing/sizing photos.

Now have Fuji Fine Pix, HP Photosmart Essential, Picasa & Canon Zoom Browser. NONE of these allow resizing.

Where do I go from here - please??

For simple resizing, I use Windows Photoeditor, which comes on the XP disk ... although you have to select it to load it ...

Fugi Fine  Pix is dead easy Tim and as you already have it I will do you some destructions if you need them.
Will have to go digging as it is a long time since I wrote them though!

Here we go.
Open Fine Pix
If you do not see a list of folders containing your pictures on the left of your screen then SLC(single left click) on the small picture of two folders.
If you hold your mouse ponter over it the words Folder  Tree View  come up.
Select the Folder containing the picture(s) you wish to re-size.
The first picture in the folder should appear on screen, with thumbnails of the others below it.
Select the picture you wish to re-size.
To the left of the Folder Tree View panel is another one. The words Menu Panel View will appear.
SLC on it.
Below there a menu will appear.
The seventh heading is Resize Image. SLC on it.
A menu will appear.
Tick the box marked Specify resolution.
In the box marked Width type the width you wish to make your picture (eg 450 ) The height box will change accordingly (in this case to 337)
SLC  on the box marked Save to another folder
A drop down Menu will appear offering you a choice of folders in which to save the new sized image.
I usually make a new folder.  So SLC on Make a New Folder
A New Folder will appear. SLC on it to highlight it.
SLC on OK
The resized image will be saved in the new folder with the same name as it was in the original folder.
You can then go to My Pictures and rename the folder and the picture if so desired.

If you wish to re-size more than one picture at a time then either select the ones you want using SHIFT + Arrow keys or if you want to do them all then go to Edit and Select All
When you select Menu Panel View this time you get a choice to Batch Resize images.
It is then the same procedure as before, except that you may also have to specify the Height as well as the width.

Before your post, I was just going to say that, suddenly, after muddling around, Fine Pix Image Utilisation has a slot for Resize. Why now? Hours of wasted time!

I'm off to read your destructions to see where I have missed out in the past.

After months of frustration I've finally manged to post pictures.  I had the basic idea but couldn't do the resizing until I followed advice on this site & downloaded Picasa2. Am still experimenting but seem to be getting the hang of it. Here's one I took earlier!

I have been using pixresizer since I saw someone reccomending it on here a while back. Its simple, which is always good, and I know re size the pictures straight into their own folder, saves any hassle looking for them in the future.
