Don't they just drive you nuts.

Claudia Schieffer (I don't care if I've spelled her name wrong)selling some gunk...

"My wrinkles look filled and so is my life"

Lordy lordy  ::)  Who on earth falls for that line??!! You aint got a life unless you've filled those trenches ladies!

Then something that raises a laugh everytime I hear it
 Iams cat food

"I don't know what I'd do without my furry alarm clock"

  :o

Heldi,

Glad someone else has spotted the utter blige that dear Claudia is spouting on behalf of some multinational conglomerate that really and truely doesn't give a monkeys about our real lives and instead tries to undermine us by making us feel like second-class citizens for having a few wrinkles.

It's the way she picks up that little boy and says "now my life is filled... blah blah blah". What are they implying - that if you have no kids and/or wrinkles you are a hopeless case?  (mind you, have found that having kids DOES increase the wrinkle factor by 100% ;))

A good friend of mine has been trying for children for years with no success and no hope of paying for IVF. she says that every time she sees that ad, she wants to smash the TV and then have a good cry.  >:(

I'm glad there's some of us out there that aren't getting fooled by this rubbish.... we know we're "worth it" whatever we use on our wrinkles!! ;D

Tabby

Haven't seen the Iams one, but I do have a furry alarm clock - he doesn't like cat food though, prefers steak & chips, snores like a drain and regularly wakes me up by inconsideratley leaving for work at half five in the morning!! ;D ;D

These annoy me too Heldi! What is wrong with a few wrinkles?  Does that mean you shouldn't smile or laugh because it crinkles around your eyes? Who cares!!! The "because your worth it" adverts really make my blood boil! When you know half of these actresses and models have had surgery and it has got nothing to do with the products they have used!  ::) busy_lizzie

Don't worry Mummy has now told her it is made up!
The poor family member who she was on a walk with then she came out with this nearly had a heart attack. Thought someone had  told her that at school but we guess that it was the ad.

the pet food ones are the ones that rile me up the most >:(
is your dog as fit as a butchers dog?
yes actually mine is, mine eats meat, bones and offal. not the processed cack in a tin that you are trying to sell me!
pedegree (or whoever it was) have proved that dogs like different textures in there food!
sensible dog, give him some real food. meat on the bone and some green tripe should do the trick ;D
whiskas. 9 out of 10 cats prefer it! really? 9 out of 10 cats would prefer a half dead sparrow (not condoning this btw, but cats are cats).
i feed mine (yep, you guessed it...) meat, bones and offal ;D
buy new (insert whatever brand here), now with 4% (or whatever stupid figure it is these days) real meat!!!!!
woop de doo!! my rats get more than that just by biting me ::)
i'll get off my high horse now ;D

Ever noticed how tinned cat food seems to contain ash?  Why?  [Other than it's a very cheap ingriedent so makes lots of profit].

I know this is a rant....but I do so love the Mint, or is it Egg (see, the ads don't work!) credit cards where they say one good thing means something stupid is happening somewhere else.  It is the man about to do some pull up exercises and he hits his head on the doorframe!  oooooooo, makes me chuckle everytime!  Shame I know!  ::)
