Ratte potatoes
« on: September 06, 2006, 18:03:17 »
I read a post the other day concerning Ratte potatoes but am unable to find it again, I asked when was the best time to plant them as I have been given some
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Thanks Tim.
The reason I asked is that my friends are all self setters. She has never planted any since the first time she got them. Just wodered if this was the way to grow them. At the moment they are in the shed

Why not plant them now in a large tub or old compost bag.  Earth them up as the ygrow and keep watered but not sodden and you might get some for Xmas or the New Year feast.
