rose problem
« on: August 31, 2006, 14:45:24 »
hey,

i bought a mini rose plant off the green grocers the other day and it did fine for the first week but it's got some problems. most buds dont open properly...they open half way and then stay there and die after a couple of days. the already open roses have spots on the petals. i did repot it and keep it moist enough and fed. i also sprayed it with fungacide and insecticide the other day but it hasn't made any difference.

the foliage looks pretty shiny and healthy.

it's probably just the shock of being bought and brought to a new home to be looked after  :) -  give it time and don't overdo anything and it should settle down

Mollycoddle it for a bit; it's probably been stressed sitting in the shop.
