Not sure if this is already posted anywhere else but here goes
a man has died in Suffolk after contracting the virus from a wild rabbit he died 3 days later , so be careful when handling rabbits in the wild folks

It happened not far from where I live.  He was a 29 year old farmer.  He picked up the dead rabbit which he found on his farm and contracted the virus through a blister on his thumb.  He started to show symptoms within 24 hours and was mis diagnosed as having chicken pox as he had a rash and fever

just came across this whilst looking thru the various threads and after reading the newspaper report, am so shocked to know that this can happen.

My heart goes out to that young man's family and friends.
