elderberry wine - maybe ?
« on: August 20, 2006, 22:52:20 »
My husband's elderberry wine was forgotten and has been sitting in a demi john (with airlock) for the last yr.  Will it be OK to bottle or should we throw it away ?

Providing the airlock has not dried out, it should still be ok. The best way to check is to taste it ...

Yes, I believe that to give a wine adequate chance for a decent tasting, you need three sips. After the third, you definitely know if the wine is worth drinking ... if you wake up with the hangover, then you know it certainly was :D
