Last year I showed how our Corn was graded in height by the shade.
This year it's the last lot of Peas.

We ARE in deep shade in parts, but - yes - we DO have a 440V cable (not a pylon) running exactly over that bit.

That's exactly the effect I used to get trying to grow veg next to one of my hedges. I gave up in the end and I'm now developing that strip as a flowerbed.
