Thought you might like to see this.  My husband took it with his new Canon Powershot S80.

Hi

It would be interesting to know what problems you have had with the camera.

Its a good camera Bucky and I have had it 15 months, but recently I am having problems with the zoom.  Whenever I zoom into a subject and go to take a pic. it won't take a picture unless I switch off and then on again.  Its a bit of a pain really.  My husband thinks I have got some dirt into the camera because I carry it everywhere with me i.e. handbags, glove compartment etc.   Shoot away, its a good camera.

 :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks for the information.  We are still learning at the moment and shooting away.

Perhaps you could help me now please with what to do next.  The heads of the lillies are starting to fall, I have tried to de-head them but not sure if that is the right thing to do.  Should I cut them back to grow again.  All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

just dead-head then, and leave the foliage to put goodness into the bulbs for next year.

Wind was a big problem.  They were growing great until May/ June when we had some really strong wind and blew them all to the right.  They still remained strong though which was a surprise.

carol, you prob have tried it but your not trying to take a non macro shot with the macro setting on are you? I have found this to stop me from taking some pics too (also trying to take a macro shot without setting it to macro)
