Lawn Seed: Growing in Shade especially.
« on: March 29, 2004, 19:01:27 »
I have a small area of grass (I won't call it a lawn exactly) a large part of which is in the shade - it's at the Southern end shaded by a fence! I have found a seed I would love to try on this which is "marketed" by WOLF-garten. The quotes are because I'm damned if I can locate it in the shops. The seed in question is "Supra". It is reputed to give a density of around 100,000 shoots per square metre; is very dense and soft and only grows slowly being formulated especially for shaded lawns as well as those in the sun.

I live in the Sheffield area and would love to locate this particular product. Can anyone help or have they any other ideas on shaded lawns?  ::)
