Earlier this evening I suddenly heard rain. Oh dear car outside with windows wide open. Dashed out (so that was a waste of money having my hair done this morning ;D) Didn't care my shorts and top were wet but we had rain at last.. It was quite heavy for a few minutes then nothing. It is now stickier than before the short rain!!
Oh well. Has to be the rain dance again.
Lorna

Yippee. We have rain, don't know how long it has been raining as I didn't get up until late (bad night).. It is still very warm, still have fan going but at least it is wet out there. Just heard thunder in the distance.

We've had rain here for the last three hours, heavy and thunder to start then gentler afterwards.... the dancing or thinking seems to be working, keep up the good work!

The forecast for Saturday was early rain clearing and brighter later.
Spot on so went to a beer festival. Got soaked inside & out.
Stair rods & nice steady rain for about 5 hrs.
Checked the soil this morning & it's bone dry 2" down!

 ;D supersprout -- love 'loominous'!

Metcheck says we're due for the odd three or four mm here later but all that'll do is bring out the slugs  >:(

It's obviously evaporating before it reaches the ground. I notice the the thunderstorms the  Met Office website was promising seem to have evaporated as well. It was supposed to be a bit cooler today as well, but it's not noticeable.

All right, who's pinched our rain?

Metcheck clearly says I'm standing in 5.4mm of precipitation but it's NOT HERE: this is happening to other people too.

It's bad enough nicking other people's sugarsnaps but this is beyond the pale pail  >:( ;)

Metcheck promisses me nearly 20mm tomorrow, I have 4 empty waterbuts and am begining to think I am praying to the wrong god as the villages all around us have had rain but none here :-(   I have come to the conclusion that Metcheck lies, I will wait to be proven wrong (keeping fingers crossed before hubby gets the water bill .........)
