Bit of a lesson in how to post photos so apologies if it has all failed.
As you can see, last September we had an uncultivated slope of heavy clay soil. April and we had managed to put the pallet wall in and we now have three levels.
Early this month was the allotment open day and as you can see, some great changes and worth all the back ache :)

pallets are great aren't they ? and so CHEAP ;D
and the beauty of wet clay (which i have plenty of) is that given enough treading in, it solids up beautifully.
