Topic: Rusty Garlic...is it OK ??

My crop of garlic has suddenly started to get covered in rust. The leaves are still green underneath. My question is "will the rust affect the bulbs or should I lift immediately?  The bulbs are bulking up very nicely but I wanted to leave them another couple of weeks.  Thanks...Dinger

Rust is only cosmetic, however it does really slow growth down as it takes hold.  Once mine were covered, I lifted them.  I can't see that another couple of weeks will be a problem.
