Onion feeding?
« on: June 16, 2006, 19:49:11 »
I have an area on my allotment covered with summer onions, (sets). Some of them are a nice dark green colour and some seem to have a lighter colour leaf. Is it possible that the lighter green onions require feeding, if so what could I use.

Thanks
David

until now nitrogen to increase the leaf production would have been good, but now  ???

Too late now. If you're going to feed, do it when the weather first warms up and they start growing fast.
