Is this tomato blight?
« on: July 26, 2006, 16:19:47 »
I have never grown tomatoes before and wondered if someone could tell me if this is blight or just some sort of scorching?

(I can always live in hope!)

Looks like simple scorch to me, look for a white mould around the outside of the damage, esp on underside of leaf to confirm blight...
Lets see what else they say...

I was thinking scorch too.  Hope we're right!

I uplifted a leaf and blew it up on some software I have and what it looks like to me is;

You have watered them in sunlight, or at least some water droplets have remained on the leaf as the sun got up.

The sun has effectively boiled the water and cooked the leaf under hence the spots.

Nothing to worry about I would say. says he  ::)

Thanks guys, it's good to know it probably isn't blight.
