And Bumble Bees.  They get quite drunk on the  nectar and doze off on mine.  You can gently touch them and they just hang there with their heads buried in the flower.  I have it next to echinops and that seems to have the same effect.
is it in the sale?

GW I can't see pics either. Same thing re  photobucket. I often get this with your pics uinless I happen to look at them soon after your posting. I did ask about this once and a member said it was because poster had removed them  from photobucket but from your comments that doesn't seem to be.
SEE! we just don't like missing your pics ;D

Glad you like the idea G, my mum had onopordon everywhere in the garden. When my sister and I were wee, one of our jobs was to cut off the spent thistle heads and shake them where she wanted plants (they're biennial).
baby (first year) http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/supersprout/onopordon_little.jpg
full grown http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/supersprout/onopordon1.jpg
flowering http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/supersprout/onopordon_flower.jpg
Will scrummage and send you some - it'll remind me to shake them wildly over the plot in a couple of months' time :)
They grow to 240m high and 1.5m wide :P
