work in progress- bean supports

This was a brainwave (well hopefully) I had for supporting my bean and climbing pea poles when I couldn't find the 'eye screws' I needed. Canes easily inserted into hose pipe and removed . Top structure can be removed for storage over winter as the ends are just slid between two nails.
I nearly did myself a mischief when hammering in the supports as there was a gale force wind blowing. I was up and down on the oil drum like a yo-yo ;D

The ingenuity on this site amazes me. :D
I'm not sure whether it's inspiring or daunting. ;)

Clever clogs! Tell me, are the pieces of hose held on with a screw at the top? Great idea!

Yes EJ, they are nailed on, 30cm apart. Only time will tell if it will work. :)

That goes in my imaginary "A4A" allotment! It would be full of all the top tips and all plants would be grown according to the advice given on this forum!
It's a perfect plot, shame it's not mine!!
Well done Ani, brilliant wheeze!!

This contraption hasn't cost me anything, everything is salvaged or been given to me. The 3 (haven't finished other half) upright supports are in those metal spiky thingys (I guess the shop calls them something else!) and are just hammered down so that they are level with surface. Hopefully as the wood is not directly in the soil they wont rot too quickly, also a lot easier to hammer in.
Thank you all for your kind comments.

That is truly amazing. More copycatting from here, just going to get the Bearded Wonder to look and inwardly digest. What with all the bean trench info too, my beans will be the pride of Wakering. ! ;D
