Ive got a few varities of sun flowers in pots/trays,. they are about two inches tall, are they ok to be plante out?, the pots are siting out side anyway

It depends very much on your location and last frost. If they get frosted they will keel over I am afraid.
Mine are still in a cold frame and will stay there for a few weeks yet. I am in Sussex by the way.

We have just potted our on and they are in the Poly tunnel for a week or so. A hot day like today can be followed by a hard frost which they will not like one bit!

They're also liable to be demolished by slugs when so small....

yea, covered mine with half lemonade bottles, and slug pellets, dont have enough big pots to let them growbig

Mine are in cold frame but are looking leggy and tall. Then they are planted out is itok to put them in deep ?

Yes you can plant them deep,I've found if you break a stem or a snail or slug nibbles put the stem in water and it roots :) so if you plant them deep they will root further up a bit like tomatoes do/shades x
