There are often questions about how often should we lift and divide our daffodil bulbs, so I thought this might be of interest. I moved into work in this garden 20 years ago. In the lawn are several large groups of bulbs which at that time were not producing blooms. The owner thought we would lift them but there are hundreds, so I tried feeding, each year in early Feb before the grass starts to grow I feed with growmore, the idea being to get the feed down past the grass roots to the bulbs.The bulbs have not been lifted since I came 20 years ago but we get as you can see a fair show of blooms.My own bulbs that I grow to show are lifted each 2nd/3rd year.
