if i had to try it, the poor wee egg would stay as cold as when GW found it.  ;D

Shame for the poor wee B/T though.  My pair haven't been seen for some time.  I hope they're OK looking after their eggs.   ::)

It is such a shame when this happens, last year during high winds a blackbird nest and its eggs were blown out of its tree in our garden, all the eggs smashed :(
don't let too much of yesterday take up too much of today

Hiya Greenwizzard!  I wonder if you HAD found the egg in good time to incubate, and eventually the little one would have hatched, surely it would have thought YOU were its mum!  And you would have had to feed it, quite a relentless task for the first days I understand.

Hope all is well in your part of the world !  All fine on the water now.   :D ;D
Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.

I hope you may still be given that chance.  There are lots of orphans nowadays, with roaming cats and high winds.  Take care!  ;) :D
