Having always used bagged compost for my Toms and Chillies, I was wondering if anyone has experience of using their own stuff, either on its own or by mixing it with bagged compost, sand etc. ???

Yes, I dig homemade compo into my clay soil, tomatoes love it

Don't see why not so long as the texture is good, could be a bit rich though, why not try an experiment? If you do let us know how it goes
