The worms have landed.....
« on: April 06, 2006, 09:55:05 »
Finally the new wormery has arrived.

After moving and leaving my old compost heap in January I was getting guilty feelings when I had to throw everything in the green bin that didn't go to the chooks so finally decided on getting a wormery instead of a compost bin.  So far they are squirming around the base unit and when I get back this pm I will throw on some tea bags etc and fingers crossed in a couple of months will have the first tray of gorgeous compost.  My 2 year old is definitely impressed as she loves worms (don't we all!)  ;D

Good for you -they're very little effort. Just watch out for ants -the b*ggers have attacked mine again and now all the legs are standing in water to keep them out.
