General area:  Chesham, Bucks
Chesham Town Council            Three sites - see their website.
http://www.chesham.gov.uk/services.html#Allotments
but for more details see mine (though must update it)
http://www.moonbells.freeserve.co.uk/CheshamAllotments/cheshamallotments.html

Cameron Road                          £2.00 per pole per year; plots available
Asheridge Road                        £3.00 per pole per year; waiting list
Meades Water Gardens            £3.00 per pole per year; unknown (probably none)

Cameron Road is a sloping, very well-draining site with light flinty alkaline soil.  The other two are in the river valley and are flat.  Water provided, trees, sheds etc permitted but no livestock.

In and around our town of Hertford there are four sites.
Bengeo
Cromwell Road
Folly Island (waiting list for plots)
West street

Folly Island is managed by an association and have a small trade hut I believe. The other sites are managed by the town council.
All have mains fed dip tanks, and all except the Bengeo site are on Aluvial soil as they are on old flood plains. So when it rains they can be worked about 30 mins afterwards!

Rents are 12.50 per 5 pole, or 25 per 10 pole.

Contact www.hertford.gov.uk for more details

My plot (soon to be ex-plot) is on Folly Island.  No association, no hut, fantastic soil & mains fed tanks. If there's a waiting list, as soon as I move my raspberries & rhubarb and take some cuttings from my monster bay tree I'm giving notice so someone is welcome to mine (I'll miss that beautiful soil).

I have just taken on a 10 pole-er at North Road allotments on the other side of town, association managed, shed, shop, toilets, parking, waiting list, more stones than required by a quarry, great soil, wildlife, chatty people with knowledge and a famous football player over my side fence, oh, it's everything I thought an allotment would be like when I signed up to Folly Island - apart from the football player. :D
