when planting seeds mark the row using flour for easy weeding

What happens when it rains?
I just put small canes and a leabel at the end to mark the row.
Have heard of people using sharp sand which I think would do a better job than Flour.

i use compost drills to sow into. as my clay is brown, and the compost black, it is very easy to see indeed where good things should be coming up :)
