I was reading an old KG hoe test this morning, people there seemed to prefer the Swoe followed by the Wolf and the old fashioned (B&Q) dutch hoe. The oscillating hoe came a bit further down as a love it or loathe it.

Reasons for choice Derek is basically the price. £11 is not £22 and it wont really break my back to buy it. If It is a little impractable then I will save up and buy the more expensive one. And no you do not need to buy it online as you can send them a cheque. They have a postal address on there website. So its snail_mail ;D

Derbex the wolf hoe loks great but is the fact that you have to buy there dedicated handles I am against. It is against all principle. You are tied down to them. There handles aint cheap either. Give my a wooden hoe handle anyday.

I am not very happy. The first link that I posted for the fixed stirrup hoe is now dead. The website has gone! Great! About my luck that is. I was going to contact them but I cannot get there contact info now >:( Not very happy.

That might be because you have the page cached on your computer in the tempery internet files. I clear mine every day after being on the internet. Thanks for the details :)

PS. I think they have stopped tradeing and hence there site might be down. Or it a problem with there website or my browser. I dont think it is my browser as I have tried with Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I have telephoned the people who supply the ossliating stirrup hoe's today and they seemed to be very polite and helpful on the telephone. The only thing is they have stopped taking orders until Febuary. Which is ok with me as I wil not be using it until after april I suppose.

They despatch the orders after 2 days of recipt but allow 10 days for it to arrive as they use royal mail.

I ordered wheelbarrow (my Christmas present) online in the evening as my husband had trailed round the garden centres all day and came back empty handed. It arrived the following morning! :) When I ordered my Chillington type hoe (from a tool company) I got that the day after too

Derek I've not been able to get a certain DVD for my sister after trailing round every flippin shop in town last Saturday. Got it from Tesco online yesterday having ordered it the day before.

My Tesco online grocery order was delivered last night. A bit early this year but they aren't delivering 23rd and 24th (who can blame them) I don't even have to carry it from the door as they bring it right into the kitchen ;D No queueing necessary and their database had saved my order from last year so it was a doddle ;D Feel aggrieved though as I had to buy carrots. Must grow many more next year :)

Internet shopping it's a doddle honest. I never set foot in a shop anymore ;D ;D, a man in a van brings everything from presents to food to seeds and plants to my door it's great. I've never had any problems whatsoever.
I do remember my first time though, worrying about whether it was going to turn up, if I was going to be charged £800-00 for a widget and if my credit card would be buying meals for 20 in a bar in Hong Kong, but as I say everything fine so far :D
