Used to be active in the Green Party - but I think they've confused green politics for socialism too, so I left. Many nice people therein though.

Maybe. Maybe not Delilah. Often party politics is just a substitute for real (personal) change. Trying to be the change I wanted to see in society seemed like a better use of resources to me...

You're more than welcome, Mike, though my OH is still in shock that anyone would ask for my help regarding the computer...... ::) Is OK, have locked him in the garage.. ;D ;)
I don't belong to any particular party, I vote as my conscience tells me too at the time, I have a thing bout labels, I think they box you in!! So at the min guess I'm a Green, lefty right handed Liberal... ???

Hi Tulip. Whereabouts in the Netherlands are you?  Lived in West Germany for a while and spent many happy days in Holland.   Keep promising myself a trip over on the ferry from Newcastle.

My labour of my first child started in a bread shop in Roermond,he was born later in Germany!

Oh dear I didn't make myself very clear did I - Green Party comment was a sarcastic one ::) I guess you have to be me to understand my warped sarcasm. I very rarely think politics cos I don't think anything atall is black and white, I hate labels , boxes and any form of grouping people into neat little sections - its just not how it is. 

I think lots of peeps do worry about revealing themselves and personal details...................I know I did, and consequently did't fill in profile until I felt comfortable to do so.

2000 views of this thread in such a short time is a little worrying don't you think?

Not really I've been back to view this thread at least 20 times as it gets updated.  If it's the same for everyone else then only a hundred people have viewed it and thats a normal days logging in for members.

My son was Stationed in JHQ Rheindalen..Munch/Gladbach 8)

Love the Run to Roermond on the Bike from there Five Min utes in Germany. 8)

From Uden  Germany 1/2 Hour Belguim the Same...France

around 21/2 hours :o

It's great to see photos of everyone again, there are so many new members and nice to be able to put a face to a name. DP, I've spoken to you by pm, it's nice to know the face I've been talking to :)
