Has anyone any advise on growing Lychees. Mine are about 1 foot tall now .No flowers as yet .But I am hopeful that they might do something in the Spring.

I have a feeling Mr Flowerdew was talking about these not so long ago-it seems they get about that large and then keel over-sorry to be a gloom merchant.
Hey-if you do get them to grow you might get famous ;D

I understand they need very humid conditions to survive and that is the problem. I have grown them a few times and they don't last long. This time I am thinking of growing it in my bathroom and seeing how it gets on.

Lychees were discussed on gardeners question time last sunday, so you can still listen to it here until tomorrow:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml
From what I remember, they need a certain bacteria in the soil to do process their food. They'll sprout, but if this bacteria isn't present they won't do much more than that...
Shame really, I love lychees....
