Just got back from holiday and found this waiting for me! it weighs 7 lb! very proud.

how long did it take to germinate debs? I planted mine a while ago ( a week? ten days?...cant remember, shoulda put a date on i know) and no sign. ???

Some of my squash are taking upwards of 12 days to poke their heads out sarah, and they are in a very warm room. When I experimented with sprouting first, it took the butternuts seven days just to get a sprout out! :o So there's hope :)

I just love butternut and have sown some (no sign yet) - does anyone know how many fruit you should expect from one plant?  Cheers

Mine took over a week, thought nothing was going to happen, then saw a bit of green stem!
