Oh they look lovely, I see the bees like them too, another plus , so they will be ready and waiting for the bees next year.

Great ideas, just what I've been looking for. I like the fern and ivy basket lottie, think I'm going to make something like that. :)

Thank you! I'm going to include some polyanthus in the others, think they'd look lovely. Post pics when done, would love to see. Lottie  ;D

I made one up today, includes fern, trailing ivy, cyclamen, mini daffodils (bulbs) and violas. Thanks for the ideas :)

Awwww, bless! Did you shed a tear? I was awful when my first started school, took a hanky and sat in car having a sob after!! How did she get on? Hope she had a good day. By the time it got to no 4, was hurling them out of car while still moving....... ;) Lottie ;D

No, didn't shed a tear but did feel a bit tearful for all of about 15 minutes until I got to the garden centre ;D She's my second so a little easier than the first one. She loved her day at school, it was only from 1pm -3pm and will be all this week, then next week until christmas it's 8.45 - 11.45. It's going to be great to have some spare uninterrupted allotment time :)

That's what makes this site so enjoyable KevB, the fact that people get along so well and it's not strictly moderated, try to enjoy it. :)

I'll take a photo of the basket in a minute, just waiting for the batteries to charge ;) :)

Here's the photos, there are also some mini daffodil bulbs in there...can't remember the colour now, think I chose a white variety. The fern is quite small but with a little growth it should look nice I think. :)

That's a beauty  :)   I noticed that my tray of Ultima pansies is already flowering so I must get them pricked out!  I really am lazy.  I have an empty chimney pot so they're destined for that.  I don't do hanging baskets as they get blown about too much so tend to keep things at ground level.
I came, I saw, I composted

Thanks, I don't generally like pansies or violas but these were so pretty. Wardy, lazy, you? no way, I cheated and bought these from the garden centre :-[ :D

I truly understand your point about friendliness, but is it really essential to take up a full page with chit chat, there's a room there purposely dedicated to chat!!
Hope you take this in the manner it is meant!! Kevb
