You'll soon get into our old biddy groove Kev.  Just let it wash over you and go with the flow.  You'll soon become as laid back as us.  Honestly we are dead mellow  :)

We do get stuff done though  ;D

Wait till you get to the near 60 Kev. You'll even forget what it is you want to moan about so it sounds like you're in pain, still there is a bonus, you might have all the young things rushing to your aid. ;)

Hi

I saw a hanging basket at the weekend that had grass coming out of the holes in the side of the basket (Stipa tenuissima Pony Tails ).  has anybody tried this? will it last over winter? and could the grass get to big (i.e. wide) that it would damage the basket.  Thanks in advance.

Regards

MikeB

Hey Mike, sounds gorgeous, lovely looking grass. It is a perennial, I think, and I slowly comb the dying stems out. But supposed to be cut back for best new growth. It does go a lovely yellow colour as we head into autumn. Think it may get a bit of a bashing over winter. As for size, I imagine that if you left it in for years may get bit big, but would take a while. You know what's coming.......! Try it, nothing ventured nothing gained!!!! Let us know. Lottie  ;D

KevB    I swear that my husband is Homer Simpson.  If I go out and he has to look after himself he gets comfy in front of the telly with the dog sitting in the chair with him.  He gets the lagers out, then the cheese and biscuits and trifle  :o    Any food which ends up down his tee shirt he lets the dog lick off  ;D ;D ;D

It's a good job us ladies are about to provide a civilising influence  :)
