Dare i ask?
« on: December 16, 2003, 00:35:18 »
I have noticed that we dont mention TV gardening programmes on here. I am thinking perhaps they are a taboo subject. Y/N?

If it si Ok then I would like to ask what people thought of last Friday night's fare on the BBC.

I for one was disapointed the Allotment programme was cut down to half an hour. I missed it the first time and was looking forward to it. Then came the realisation it was only half an hour. Shame! Not that i didnt enjoy what we were shown you understand.

Generally the gardener of the year programme was better than past years. All the better for being presented by Monty. My main critcisms would be that there is still too much emphasis on design and not enough on knowledge and practical skills. The other criticism was the prize. Pointless or what. Money to spend on the garden would have been better.

Sorry folks if i have broken a taboo here. I just thought I'd broach the subject,a nd discuss these things with those who do not frequent the BBC MB.

I have to say, I don't really like Monty on GW, however, when he is talking about veggies, he seems so...well....happy...content...dunno, more at home I guess.  I know it was cut, but I still enjoyed it  and it made me long for spring.
