Hello everyone! Great day to have off work, looks like the summer is coming back! ;D
???
Please forgive my ignorance as I ask a couple of stoopid questions about leeks.
I sowed my leeks on April 30 straight into the veg patch. They're doing pretty well I think and are now pencil thin.
Question: Do they HAVE to be transplanted? I mean, if they are growing in the right place and seem to be doing all right can they be left alone? Or is the whole ritual with the 6in dibber hole and the watering in all part of the vital process?
Question 2: When you plonk them in the dibbing hole, should you be pushing them right down deep so that their roots touch the bottom of the hole?
