Its been a great year for blackcurrants and blackberries on my allotment. Does anyone have recipes for making creme de cassis or creme de mure??

You can make blackcurrant or blackberry syrup by dissolving 1 pint of sugar into 1 pint of juice and boiling at 220 degrees fahrenheit for 5 minutes, then bottle.

I posted my version under this link and have made both variants using it.

Both are fantastic and keep well, if you can. The creme de mures was a real treat and a great variant for a kir royale. :P
