Looking back, in the cold light of day,
there isn`t a lot that one really can say.
What people expect one rarely can tell,
But as parties go it went fairly well.
Some, it is true, showed signs of strain,
While others had alcohol go to the brain.
A few woke up with faces quite red,
Because of the things they thought they had said.
As usual, several turned up rather late,
While others, it seems, had forgotten  the date.
Some made promises they just cannot keep,
Some stayed so late that they`re still asleep.
But most enjoyed the party – it`s true,
And remember, `twas but an Internet `do`,
So to those with ill consciences let us be kind;
It didn`t really happen; `twas all in the mind.
